Students in pro-Palestinian protests won't face school discipline, college says

Emerson College said students involved in last week's pro-Palestinian protest encampment will not face any discipline from the school. According to a Boston police report, a total of 118 people were arrested on a charge of disturbing the peace when an encampment in a public alley near Emerson College was cleared last week by police. "The College will not bring any campus disciplinary charges against the protesters and will encourage the district attorney not to pursue charges related to encampment violations," the college said in a statement. The protesters' arraignment dates have been set for May 2. 3 and 7. Emerson's student housing ends on May 3.
