Omar Abdullah said that the BJP needs to first resolve all problems of J&K region and no one is stopping them to merge PoK with India

Former Jammu and Kashmir chief minister Farooq Abdullah has landed in a soup after he went on to say that Pakistan is not wearing bangles and will drop atom bombs on India while responding to Defence Minister Rajnath Singh's remark that PoK will be merged with India.

"If the defence minister is saying it then go ahead. Who are we to stop. But remember, they (Pakistan) are also not wearing bangles. It has atom bombs, and unfortunately, that atom bomb will fall on us," Abdullah, the National Conference chief said.

Abdullah's son Omar Abdullah said that the BJP needs to first resolve all problems of J&K region and no one is stopping them to merge PoK with India.

"Who has stopped them?… Who are we to stop you? But they need to first resolve all problems of the region they have with them…," he said.

BJP Reacts To Farooq's Remark

Reacting to Farooq's remark, BJP MP Sudhanshu Trivedi said the INDI alliance has a stamp of Pakistan.

"Today I am bringing your attention to the  very astounding statement in the Indian politics. Farooq Abdullah said Pakistan has an atom bomb. There are multiple instances of this. Congress LOP in Maharashtra made statement rather giving cover fire to the Pakistan. Just to get a few votes you are raising questions on Indian forces," he said.

"INDI alliance has a stamp of Pakistan. Both these leaders are saying to all 'mile sur mera tumhara'. This happened in the last 7 days. This can't be coincidence. This is the strategic game plan of both Indi alliance and Pakistan. They are playing a very dangerous game," he said.

National General Secretary of Rashtriya Lok Dal (RLD) Malook Nagar said, "I am ashamed that such statements are given by people living in the country. When he (Farooq Abdullah) and his son (Omar Abdullah) gave interviews when Article 370 was still implemented, they sounded like Pakistanis… They should be ashamed… Such people have no right to live in the country…"
