, in Rajasthan.

Chaudhary is accused of playing a pivotal role in the assault, allegedly offering financial support and carrying out reconnaissance for the two detained gunmen,

According to an update on

ANI

, the Mumbai Police confirmed, that "the Mumbai Crime Branch has arrested the 5th accused in this case from Rajasthan, the name of the arrested accused is Mohammad Chaudhary. He helped the two shooters, Sagar Pal and Vicky Gupta, provide money, and do recce. Chaudhary is being brought to Mumbai today where he will be produced in court and a demand for custody will be made."

Recently, the mother of

Anuj Thapan

, a suspect in the shooting outside actor Salman Khan's residence, who reportedly died by suicide while in police custody, has filed a petition in the Bombay High Court requesting a CBI investigation into her son's "suspicious" demise.

However, Mumbai Police informed that Thapan allegedly attempted suicide and hung himself inside the lock-up. He was taken to the nearest hospital, where he was declared dead.

Meanwhile, a lookout notice has been issued against Anmol Bishnoi, the younger brother of jailed gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, in connection with the case.
