A sensational case of a paper leak for the NEET UG 2024 exam and conducting the exam through a solver has come to light in Patna.

The NEET exam across the country was held on Sunday, May 5. According to reports, based on the leads received from the Jharkhand Special Task Force (STF), Export Oriented Unit (EOU) and Patna Police, they jointly took action and arrested five people in this case. At present, they are being interrogated.

Reports suggest that gang leaders are always looking for new scholars. The gang members keep an eye on the medical colleges. Especially first-year students are their main target. First, they resemble everyone, and then they look for students who fall prey to their expensive bikes and good lifestyles.

Jharkhand STF had received input that some people were leaking papers in NEET. STF and Ranchi Police took action and arrested the solver at an examination centre. On this basis, two more solvers were arrested. Ranchi Police had given some input to Patna Police; on this basis, action was taken in Patna also.

The NEET exam was conducted on May 5 at many centres across the country, but information about its leak started coming from many places. After this, the agency became alert. But raids are being conducted in many parts of the country, including Patna, Muzaffarpur, Buxar, Bhojpur and Nalanda in Bihar. Raids are also going on in Kankarbagh, Patrakar Nagar, Ramakrishna Nagar, Ashok Rajpath and Mahendra in Patna.

One of the NEET examination centres was in Shastri Nagar, DAV of Patna. While the examination was going on, police received input from Ranchi Police. Therefore, shortly after the commencement of the examination, the team of EOU and Patna Police reached DAV. The police arrested a solver who appeared for the exam from there. This solver appeared for the exam in place of a student from Chapra, Bihar. The police also recovered an electronic device from there. At the behest of the arrested solver, four more people have been arrested in the paper leak case.
