High-Speed Fun in Denmark! HD Video Interview with Aarhus Sea Rangers

(07/05/24) Delegates attending the Routes Europe 2024 airline route development and airport services conference and exhibition in Aarhus, Denmark in April, were offered a choice of pre-event activities designed to teach them more about what the beautiful city has to offer.

The most adrenaline-packed choice was certainly the educational harbour tour that took 11 guests out to sea onboard a high-speed RIB (rigid inflatable boat).

With everyone dressed in waterproof coastal suits and comfortable life jackets provided by Sea Rangers, the tour headed out to sea with the pilot showing off the RIB's high speed and incredible versatility, stopping in certain areas for the guide to move to the front of the boat and tell us about some of the history, architecture and unique characteristics that make Aarhus such an interesting place to visit.

To learn more about the Aarhus Sea Rangers, where the company is in terms of post-Covid recovery and what plans they have for the future, Steven Howard of Travel News Asia sat down with Niels K. Nielsen, Head of Guides.

In this interview, filmed on 21 April 2024 prior to Routes Europe 2024, Steven asks about the type of RIBs the Aarhus Sea Rangers use, how many they have and who are the main customers.

Niels shares his thoughts on what makes the RIB tours so special, explains why people do not get sea sick - despite some pretty fast maneuvering, how the different tours can differ, and much, much more.
