A man is facing charges after a case of arson at a North York synagogue. Toronto police were called about a fire near Bathurst Street and Wilson Avenue around 9:50 a.m. Thursday. Officers say a man went to the synagogue, used his key to get inside and set a fire before fleeing. Police say the man is actually a synagogue member. Avrom Babrowsky, 67, of Toronto was arrested Friday and charged with arson- disregard for human life. Anyone with information can call police at 416-808-3200 or Crime Stoppers at 416-222-8477 (TIPS).
