Austrian Airlines will fly to Tbilisi and Bremen again in the 2024 summer timetable. Austrian  Airlines passengers can look forward to two exciting new destinations in the Austrian  destination portfolio: flights to Tbilisi began on 1 May. The Austrian airline will also be flying to  Bremen again. The maiden flight will take place on 06 May.

"We are delighted to be expanding our Austrian Airlines destination portfolio again this summer  with two additional routes in Europe and thus to be able to offer our guests a constantly growing  range of services. The expansion of the short-haul network underlines our positioning as the  clear number 1 in Vienna and expands our footprint in the European market", emphasizes  Michael Trestl, CCO of Austrian Airlines.

Tbilisi, the capital of Georgia, attracts many tourists with its picturesque old town and its  location at the foot of the Caucasus Mountains. The country offers a wide range of  opportunities for adventure and nature tourism, from mountain hikes to relaxed beach holidays.  The connection via the Vienna hub and thus to the gateway to Europe and the world also  allows travellers comfortable connecting flights with Austrian Airlines to North America or Asia.  All Austrian Airlines flights can be combined with Lufthansa Group flights. The route will be  served three times a week by the Austrian home carrier, on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays.

"We are delighted to be able to share positive news with travellers: Austrian Airlines is now  flying to Tbilisi again. This is a further step in the diversification of our network and passenger  segmentation. It is expected that this expansion of flight options between Vienna and Tbilisi  will improve connectivity and contribute to the growth of tourism and business activities  between Austria and Georgia. Austria is an important market for both tourism and business  relations. As a company committed to progress and innovation, we want to broaden the  horizons of our airports and adapt our services to the different needs and preferences of  passengers. We hope to build lasting connections across borders," said Irakli Karkashadze,  Airport Director Georgia.

Bremen also has a lot to offer Austrian Airlines passengers: From the famous Bremen Town  Musicians to the inviting market square or the Bremen Town Hall, which is a UNESCO World  Heritage Site, the Hanseatic city is characterized by a rich cultural diversity. The route will be  operated four times a week until June, on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Sundays.  In July and August, flights will be offered three times a week on Wednesdays, Fridays and  Sundays, and from September the frequency will increase again to four flights a week.

"The new destination is naturally a tourist highlight for travellers from all over north-west  Germany," says Dr Marc Cezanne, Managing Director of Bremen Airport. "The connection to  Vienna is also highly relevant for long-distance and business travellers: They can reach  worldwide destinations very conveniently with just a single change," emphasizes Cezanne.
