MARIETTA, Ohio (WTRF) — Police in Ohio have issued a public health notice after a female was charged with engaging in solicitation after a positive HIV test, a 3rd-degree felony.

Linda Leccesse was indicted in Washington County. Leccesse allegedly engaged in sexual acts on Market Street in Marietta on or about Jan 1, 2022, through May 13 of this year.

Through investigation, agents learned and identified at least 211 individuals who had contact with Leccesse.

Officers with the Washington County Sheriff's Office and the Marietta Police Department will be placing phone calls to known phone numbers that had contact with Leccesse, police said.

Officials say those who get the phone calls are not in trouble and officers will be directing the individuals to their local Health Departments for screening and/or treatment for HIV.

There are currently no hearings scheduled for Lecesse.
