The Gainesville Regional in the NCAA Tournament will continue to roll on Saturday for Florida softball Saturday.

The Gators will face South Alabama in the winners bracket.

A win Saturday moves UF into Sunday's final.

Florida took care of FGCU 6-0 on Friday behind a solid offensive showing and dominance on the mound by Keegan Rothrock.

The freshman went 6 1/3 innings and acquiesced just two Eagles hits.

Offensively, UF's fiery offense was held in check by the Eagles for five innings, but the Gators finally broke through in the sixth with RBIs from Reagan Walsh, Avery Goelz and Ariel Kowalewski.

Skylar Wallace had the two RBIs on a double in the third.

"Bearing on the ball a little bit better was huge," Wallace said of the offensive explosion in the sixth inning. "I think that gave the confidence to the other guys behind me to keep getting after and keep getting the job done."

South Alabama, meanwhile, beat FAU 1-0 in the later game Friday behind an RBI from Stephanie Gonzalez and a complete game shutout from Olivia Lackie.
