It all comes down to this. If Nebraska can finish the sweep at Michigan State, it will tie first place Illinois at 17 wins. Then it comes down to watching and hoping Purdue can salvage one game from Illinois. That would bring a championship to Lincoln and with the tiebreakers give Nebraska the top seed in Omaha for the BigTen Tournament. Nebraska can only be one of the top two seeds at this point.

You don't even have to ask. I already looked for you. There is zero percent chance of precipitation in East Lansing around game time. More importantly, there is only a 6% chance of precipitation in West Lafayette. So the fateful tarp should hopefully sit in its home along the left field wall. Purdue needs the game themselves, to tie Iowa and Michigan at 14 wins for 4th place. That should put Purdue in 4th with the tiebreakers (if I'm computing them right) instead of potentially 6th or 7th, so they still have a lot to play for.

Hopefully Illinois celebration of winning a share of the league title that they had Friday will provide a bit of a letdown emotionally for them too. BTN will cut to Illinois at Purdue (first pitch at 2pm CDT) immediately following the Husker game, so lots of baseball to watch today, let's get to it!!
