BOX SCORE

Game notes: It's a rematch of the Week 5 matchup that started the Panthers' current three-game win streak. In that April 28 game in Memphis, Tennessee, the Panthers demonstrated a dominant running game, picking up 160 yards on the ground on 36 carries. Wes Hills had 82 of those yards on 16 carries and reached the end zone three times.

The big question: Will Memphis have an answer for Michigan defensive end Breeland Speaks? The Ole Miss product, a second-round pick of the Kansas City Chiefs in 2018, tore through the Showboats' offensive line, racking up four tackles (two for loss) and three sacks while forcing a fumble on Memphis' first drive.

On offense, the Showboats feature running back Darius Victor, the 2022 USFL Offensive Player of the Year. The Liberia native starred at Towson before hitting pro football. This season, he has 206 yards and a touchdown on 71 carries, for an average of 2.9 yards a carry. In the Panthers' April victory, Victor was held to 17 yards on nine carries.

After today's game, the Panthers wrap up their regular season on the road, heading to Houston to face the Roughnecks on May 26 and then to Birmingham to face the USFL conference-leading Stallions.
