- Gets a single-pod instrument console

- Will use the same Sherpa 450 engine as the current Himalayan

- Likely to be launched in the coming months

We have come across a new set of images of the Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450. The bike was spotted on a test run in Tamil Nadu and appears closer to a production-ready model. Royal Enfield has already invited us for a ride in July and we expect the official launch for the Guerrilla 450 could take place after that.

The new spy shots give an even closer look at the upcoming Royal Enfield 450cc bike. It gets a round LED headlight, a single-pod instrument console, a single-piece seat and a wide-looking fuel tank. But to keep the cost low, the Guerrilla 450 may use a different instrument cluster than the one that the Himalayan 450 uses. That said, it seems to get the same tail setup as its ADV cousin.

However, the Guerrilla 450 has noticeably different hardware and stance when compared to the Himalayan. It rides on gaitered telescopic front forks, unlike the Himalayan's USD units. Moreover, the new Royal Enfield 450 bike also uses alloy wheels, giving it the benefit of using tubeless tyres. It is also notably more road-oriented and has a lower stance which is better suitable for city riding.

Royal Enfield will use the same Sherpa 450 engine for the Guerrilla 450. It is a 452cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder motor that belts out 39.47bhp at 8,000rpm and 40Nm at 5,500rpm. The engine is linked to a six-speed gearbox.

The upcoming Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450's asking price is likely to be around Rs. 2.4 lakh-Rs. 2.5 lakh (ex-showroom).
